President Obama has suggested it may be time for a new beginning with Cuba, and the White House authorized unlimited travel and money transfer for Americans with relatives in Cuba. But his administration has said it would like Cuba to respond by making small political and social changes to its single-party communist system.
Mr Alarcon says that means that Cuba must change and behave in accordance to Washington's wishes. Mr Alarcon made the comments Saturday night at the end of a Cuban academic conference in Canada. -- AP"
Why does America like to stick her ever-elongating "tentacles" into other countries business? Is it because they think that they are superior to the less advance countries? Can someone please define advance? Definitely, America has NO right to "suggest" what Cuba should or should not do. It is not a very nice thing to say considering the things that America had screw up lately, from the 3 times bail out of BOA (Bank of America) to the global insurance giant, AIG. Yet these are the companies that are still stuck in a deep puddle of mud trying their best to crawl out of the mess that they created.
Cuban has it's own way of doing things and if they do not threaten to destroy half the world with nuclear missiles, I don't see the point of America needing to intervene in Cuba.
However, Cuba is not without its ugly side. From military generals to businessman, all of them smoke Cigar. ( That is a stereotype =) ) It is bad for health and portray a negative image of Cuba. Furthermore, all the gunfire and bad-ass characters that hail from Cuba in James Bond movies, it seems Cuba has accumulated bad publicity starting decades ago.
Therefore, it is very important for Cuba to show that it is not what Americans or the rest of the world assume her to be. Good publicity is the key to success!
